Dharamshala-Bhojanshala & Other Facilities

1) Dharamshala: Located in the Ashtapad with good quality rooms. Contains 20 highly furnished rooms at the tirth place.

2) Bhojanshala: Located in the Ashtapad, Which provides pure Jain Food to all visitors according to Jain rituals. There is a provision for the arrangement of special type of food as allowed by Jain religion. Dinner may be served before Chauvihar (i.e. sunset). Taking and serving any food after sunset is strictly prohibited. Special arrangement for lunch and dinner can be made if prior information is received. It may be especially convenient for those who come in-groups. At the tirth place there is beautiful regular arrangement for simple hygienic, delicious and digestive food. The tirth pedhi is contemplating to modernize the same which is having capacity of accomodating around 700 people at a time.

3) Upashray: The place or abode where the Jain Sadhus and Sadhvis stay or reside in separate apartments and perform worship, is called Upashray. Shravakas, Shravikas, and even children visit the Upashray every day and perform spiritual and religious activities such as Samayik and Pratikraman. Separate Upashrayas are meant for men and women. Men approach Sadhus; and women approach Sadhvis and seek their guidance for their spiritual endeavors. The Upashray is called Paushadh Shala or Vasati in the technical language.

4. Gavushala: The Tirth has established an animal refuge called Ashtapad Gaushala which cares for many old, homeless and sick animals. It provides humane veterinary care for few hundred old, homeless and sick animals. One of the outcomes of the reforestation project is the fresh fodder for the animals. This increased nutrition enhances their recovery to good health.
